  1. Import RangeMaster Pro Version 1 data – Fixed import error when converting List Equipment.  In version 1 you could have duplicate Mfg/Model/Type but not in version II.

1.      Installation Program – Modified the install program so it installs the data file separately. 

 

 

Version 2.0.6              11/13/07

1.      Import RangeMaster Pro Version 1 data – Modified the import process so that apostrophes were removed from User Defined Field Descriptions and Field Values.  Apostrophes are not allowed in these fields in version II and they were causing the import to crash.

 

 

Version 2.0.7              12/??/07

1.      Filter Window – Corrected a problem that prevented filtering the officer records by officer status.

 

2.      Personnel Failed to Attend Report – Fixed the problem that crashed the report if you selected an agency with an apostrophe.

 

3.      Sort Window – Removed Supplemental from the list of fields you can sort on for Qualifications, Firearm, Equipment and Location.

 

4.      Officer Tab – After importing version 1 data, the first line of data was disabled on the officer tab.

 

5.      Logon Window – Made “Ok” the default button.

 

 

Version 2.0.8              1/7/08

1.      Import RangeMaster Pro Version 1 data – Corrected the import to remove apostrophes from Equipment Manufacturer and Model.

 

  1.  Firearm Transfer – Corrected a problem that occurred when you attempted to transfer a firearm if you didn’t click the Transfer button when the Firearm Tab was displayed.

  1. Find Window – Corrected a problem that caused the Find Window to crash when attempting to open it. 

  1. Import RangeMaster Pro Version 1 data – Fixed the import so you could load a database from the root directory of a drive.

  1. Install Menu – Created a new Installer Menu to accommodate agencies running on Windows Vista.  Vista does not allow files that can be updated to exist in C:\Program Files folder unlike prior versions of Windows.

  1. Firearm Transfer - Corrected additional problems that occurred when you attempted to transfer a firearm with out previously viewing a firearm on the Firearm Tab.

  1. Windows Vista – Resolved additional compatibility issues with Vista.

  1. Reports (all) – Corrected the “Run-time error '339': Component 'CRViewer.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered” error that occurred when trying to preview reports in some installations.

  1. Install Program – Resolved a problem that gave a “permission denied” error when attempting to install the database or a “cannot update data base” when you open RangeMaster Pro II after installation.  

  1. Data file location – Fixed a problem that occurred if you installed version 2.0.9 and then moved the data file to a different location.   You had to do a Locate Data File every time you opened the program. 

 

Version 2.1.1              4/4/08

1.      Firearm Tab – Corrected a problem where the message “Firearm Is Duplicate” was erroneously given.

 

2.      Firearm Tab – Fixed a problem that occurred when you cleared out a Control Number field leaving a blank space.  Subsequent attempts to enter a new firearm caused an error stating “The Control Number already exists” and locking up the application.

 

3.      Employment Status change – Invalid Custody Log records were created when an officer’s status field was changed.  This occurred if all of the following conditions existed at the time of the status change:

a.       The field called “Exiting Officer’s Firearm Location” on the General tab of the Options window contained a Location.

b.      The Status field on the Officer Tab was changed to a value whose corresponding field in the Employment Status List had its Transfer Firearms field checked.

c.       Since last starting up RangeMaster Pro II, you had not clicked on the Firearm Tab prior to changing the officer’s status.

4.      Custody Log – A custody log is created when an officer’s employment Status is changed (see item 3 above).  The program was modified to automatically enter today’s date in the Custody Log Date field and the text “Employment status changed to Retired” in the Comments field.
